Member Experience Officer

The role

As a Member Experience Officer at The Key, you will work in a small team of passionate individuals striving to provide an unrivalled level of member experience. You will work with 2 other Member Experience Officers, owning your own designated geographical territory of schools and small groups schools. Your primary role will be to ensure that your accounts are happy and getting the most out of their subscription so that when it comes around to their renewal, the experience they have received from The Key ensures we maintain and improve on market leading service. 

You will be targeted on engagement activity and renewal performance, working closely with your other team members in Member Success and your territorial counterparts in the Business Development and Account Management teams to achieve both personal and team objectives. 

You will:

  • Secure renewal decisions through calls and personalised emails 
  • Upsell additional services to current members 
  • Generate and escalate new membership leads
  • Maintain high levels of member satisfaction
  • Make use of data, our customer relationship management system and your understanding of the sector to find opportunities for further engagement to ensure a successful renewal
  • Contact members throughout the annual renewal cycle to ensure engagement with the service

The ideal person

You will:

  • Have experience in customer service and/or sales 
  • Possess an interest in the education sector
  • Demonstrate good influencing and negotiation skills
  • Have a genuine passion for our members and a motivation for providing an outstanding experience throughout their member journey
  • Possess good command of written and spoken English to produce high quality, accurate written materials
  • Have excellent time management skills with the ability to take responsibility for their own day-to-day work and take initiative to prioritise their own workload, meeting tight deadlines
  • Be receptive and accepting to working in changing environments through embracing new ideas and challenges and having a flexible attitude to work

It would be nice if you:

  • Have experience within a membership or subscription based organisation
  • Have knowledge of Salesforce CRM and/or Zuora subscription platform
  • Have the ability to collate and present data to develop a case for a particular course of action
  • Can work creatively to resolve problems and develop new initiatives 
  • Are willing to take on cross-team responsibilities, working with others to achieve wider team goals and development

Business Development Manager

The role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our energetic business development team. You will help us to achieve our business growth targets by presenting our proposition to new organisations with the objective of selling them a subscription to The Key’s services. 

You will: 

  • Proactively target prospective organisations in your territory with the objective of them buying into The Key’s membership
  • Manage an effective pipeline of opportunities
  • Achieve quarterly sales targets
  • Have expert knowledge of our proposition and how it applies to different organisations

The ideal person

You will: 

  • Have 2 years sales experience in a subscription based business 
  • Have experience of selling to multiple stakeholders in a single sale
  • Understand the different stages of the pipeline and be able to articulate the difference in each stage
  • Have solid experience and be able to demonstrate how you have worked within a defined sales process
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Have an interest in the schools sector and in supporting schools 
  • Have a ‘can-do’ attitude to go the extra mile to secure a sale

It would be nice if you:

  • Have SaaS / education sector experience
  • Have experience of presenting to large groups

The role

We are looking for a sub-editor to join our friendly content team to sub-edit digital content, setting and upholding the highest standards of accuracy, practical value, clarity and fluency in line with our brand.  You’ll be helping over 120,000 education leaders take confident, decisive action in their schools.

You will: 

  • Edit digital content in line with our brand, tone of voice guidelines and style guide
  • Rigorously check content for accuracy and practical value
  • Work collaboratively with our content writers, feeding back on their work and giving constructive challenge and support to help them continually improve
  • Work at pace, making excellent editorial decisions and prioritising carefully, to publish content at the critical point in time for our members without compromising quality

The ideal person

You will: 

  • Have experience of sub-editing digital content
  • Be able to assess the quality of digital content and identify issues, gaps and appropriate actions
  • Be able to make confident, robust decisions under pressure
  • Have an understanding of copyright law and be able to identify breaches
  • Have excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Have knowledge of, or a keen interest in, the education sector in England

It would be nice if you:

  • Have an up-to-date understanding of education issues, particularly in the school sector

Credit Controller

The role

We are looking for a credit controller to join our small and friendly finance team who will be responsible for the management of cash collection across the group. You will take the lead in developing and implementing strategies and processes to support predictable cash collection within our standard payment terms. Using your expert knowledge of our products and services and your natural tenacity you will resolve payment and invoice queries to expedite settlement of debts.

You will: 

  • Monitor and collect payments by contacting members on a daily basis via phone and email
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with both members and internal colleagues 
  • Timely and effectively collect member’s debts
  • Resolve any member’s financial queries that arise
  • Process credit card payments
  • Keep excellent customer records electronically

The ideal person

You must:

  • Have at least 2-3 years of credit control experience (with a focus on at least 50 outbound calls a day)
  • Have excellent verbal communication skills 
  • Have a persuasive, tenacious style
  • Be a self starter and happy to work independently 

It would be nice if you:

  • Have experience in a subscription business
  • Have an interest/previous experience of working in the education or public sector 
  • Are CCIM qualified or equivalent

Product Manager: Ecommerce and platform

The role

We are looking for an experienced product manager to work as part of a talented team of product managers, driving forward product performance and feature development in line with the needs of The Key’s loyal member-base.

You will 

  •   Lead the development of a set of platform features to support critical customer journeys; from purchase, registration and on-boarding, through to renewal.
  •   Manage a strategy and roadmap and be responsible for validating problems and solutions.
  •   Prioritise and deliver a backlog of validated improvements with your scrum team, which remove pain-points and contribute towards a superlative customer experience
  •   Deliver tangible outcomes, using data, well-designed experiments and a short, iterative delivery cycle
  •   Work fluidly with market research, UX and UI, engineering, BI and product marketing teams, to deliver optimal value to users early and often
  •   Build expertise in the needs and behaviours of school leaders

 

The ideal person

You must:

  • Have 3+ years’ experience in product management and a passion for the role
  • Have a strong desire to understand our members and their problems
  • Be a strategic thinker, with the ability to focus and prioritise
  • Be outcome focused and data literate
  • Be a strong communicator, organised and collaborative
  • Have experience working in an Agile environment
  • Be comfortable taking the lead and inspiring cross-functional teams

It would be nice if you…

  • Were passionate about education
  • Have experience working directly with a scrum team
  • Have worked on the development of a multi-product ecommerce platform
  • Understand subscription businesses
