Junior Digital Marketing Executive

The role

We are looking for a motivated and technically-minded digital marketer to join our digital team and report to the Head of Digital Marketing. You will:

  • Support our email marketing efforts, by building multiple campaigns across a variety of products, according to briefs, using our marketing automation platform
  • Ensure the delivery of our digital marketing strategy across search engine optimisation (SEO), paid media (PPC) and website enhancements
  • Support the product marketing team in the creation, optimisation and delivery of digital collateral, including emails, landing pages and adverts
  • Deliver multiple email campaigns across a variety of products
  • Create and maintain a series of automated journeys using workflows
  • Use dashboards and software to optimise on-site content for SEO and oversee budget spend on paid media streams.

You will draw together a wide mix of digital marketing skills and work collaboratively with your colleagues in sales, marketing, design and other parts of the business.

The ideal person 

You will:

  • Have up to 1 years’ experience working in digital marketing, ideally in a B2B setting
  • Have some experience of using a marketing automation platform e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or Hubspot
  • Have strong attention-to-detail, particularly when following briefs and delivering these accurately
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills that enable you to structure your workload independently, balancing a number of different campaigns and strategies

The role

The Key is looking for a creative individual with strong writing skills to join us as a digital content writer for our market-leading support services. As a digital content writer you will research, write and maintain practical and engaging content of exceptional quality to meet the needs of school leaders, governors and leaders of multi-academy trusts. You will draw on expertise from trustworthy external sources, from both the education sector and outside it, and quickly develop specialist knowledge of the sector.

You will:

  • Research and write about a range of topics, combining rigorous desk research with trustworthy external sources and internal expertise
  • Produce content in varied forms, according to our content roadmap, and in response to questions from school leaders and governors, following agreed deadlines – on time and in full
  • Develop and maintain specialised sector knowledge, and use this knowledge to make sure content is kept up to date, as well as to spot opportunities to add value
  • Triage incoming questions from our members, and determine when to write new content
  • Use qualitative and quantitative feedback and insights (including user research) to adapt our content, so we can provide the most practical and actionable information and resources possible

The ideal person

You will:

  • Have experience of working in the education sector or 2+ years writing experience
  • Have first-class research and writing skills 
  • Have strong editorial judgement and a record of excellent decision-making
  • Have a creative spark and strong commercial intuition
  • Have an interest in the education sector and a strong focus on professional learning

It would be nice if you:

  • Have a proven ability to seek out high-quality sources and information
  • Are able to collate and respond to findings, usage trends and user feedback

Finance Assistant

The role

We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our growing finance team. Your role will be to ensure our members experience accurate and timely communications on all aspects of their account. Your curiosity will lead you to constantly seek opportunities to improve processes and enhance the customer experience through the delivery of a seamless end to end billing experience. 

You will:

  • Carry out daily billing runs for invoicing in Zuora and Quickbooks
  • Process direct debit invoices and payments and deal with any queries relating to this
  • Process refunds on a bi-weekly basis
  • Respond to finance enquiries via telephone and email in a friendly and informative manner, ensuring we uphold our 24 hour response time 
  • Collaborate with the customer success team to ensure billing queries are actioned for group wide membership in a timely manner
  • Prepare month end files
  • Assist with the annual price increase project and get involved with other finance-related projects
  • Assist with any ad hoc requests including staff expenses and purchase orders for the wider business. 

The ideal person

You will:

  • Be proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Have experience working in a finance or customer service team
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Have strong to attention to detail
  • Have excellent organisational skills
  • Have an interest in the education sector

You will: 

  • Edit digital content in line with our brand, tone of voice guidelines and style guide
  • Rigorously check content for accuracy and practical value
  • Work at pace, making excellent editorial decisions and prioritising carefully to make sure we publish timely content that meets our members’ needs
  • Work closely with our content writers, feeding back on their work and giving constructive challenge and support to help them develop their writing skills

The ideal person

You will: 

  • Have experience of sub-editing digital content
  • Be able to assess the quality of digital content and identify issues, gaps and appropriate actions
  • Be able to make confident, robust decisions under pressure
  • Have an understanding of copyright law and be able to identify breaches
  • Have excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Have knowledge of, or a keen interest in, the education sector in England

Senior Designer

We are looking for a Designer to join our marketing team. You will be working across teams and leading on design work for the company’s visual communications - from conception to completion.

The role

We are looking for a Designer to join our marketing team.  You will be working across teams and leading on design work for the company’s visual communications – from conception to completion

You will be responsible for

  • Owning and maintaining our brand guidelines, making sure our brand remains consistent in all external and internal material
  • Managing the job flow of the design team’s work using Asana and Hourstack – making sure that all jobs are completed within the agreed deadlines and that all ‘clients’ are updated about the progress of their design requests
  • Working creatively on all marketing collateral and communications, both print and digital, including brochures, flyers, reports, adverts, editorial, powerpoint presentations, web and wireframe design layouts.
  • Working closely with colleagues in the marketing department to suggest & develop engaging concepts from marketing briefs; and create mockups with the ability to express design ideas clearly
  • Join marketing campaign planning sessions & brainstorms and be willing to suggest creative ideas to support campaign execution
  • Liaising directly with individual stakeholders on any design or creative requirements
  • Developing our toolkit of membership collateral – for example, membership packs – in line with marketing plans
  • Supporting both video and photo shoots, both external and internal
  • Supporting on basic video editing for ad-hoc projects and basic audio editing for The Key’s weekly podcast
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest design and technology trends

The ideal person

  • Proficient in the use of software within Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Strong creative flair and outstanding attention to detail
  • Strong previous experience in design
  • The ability to understand our target audience and suggest creative solutions and innovative ideas
  • Positive and proactive attitude. This means you will take feedback on board and always come up with ideas about how we might solve challenges.
  • Ability to work and manage multiple projects at one time and to meet tight deadlines
  • Responsible for management of own and other designers workload and quality of work
  • Excellent organisational, time management, administration and problem solving skills

Nice to have 

  • Ability to adapt, move quickly and learn new platforms and skills as required by different campaign goals
  • Keen interest in the education sector and sensitivity to the needs and culture of school leaders
  • Adept at managing various stakeholders/ cross-team agendas

  • Make edits to our product and brand websites using various CMS systems
  • Assist in the set-up and delivery of product features, including polls and app notifications
  • Support in the extraction and accuracy of data from our CRM
  • Reporting on campaign spend and digital effectiveness

You will draw together a wide mix of digital marketing skills and work collaboratively with your colleagues in sales, marketing, design and other parts of the business. 

The ideal person

You will:

  • Have at least 1-2 years’ experience working in digital marketing, ideally in a B2B setting
  • Have experience of using a marketing automation platform e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or Hubspot
  • Have strong attention-to-detail, particularly when following briefs and delivering these accurately
  • Have familiarity of managing small-scale SEO and/or PPC campaigns
  • Have excellent project management and organisational skills that enable you to structure your workload independently, balancing a number of different campaigns and strategies
  • Have good knowledge of B2B marketing frameworks and tools
  • Have an eye for data and the ability to work with large datasets

It would be nice if you:

  • Have a keen interest in the education sector and sensitivity to the needs and culture of school leaders 
  • Are adept at managing various stakeholders/agendas
