The Key’s survey of school leaders in the autumn term found that 58% of respondents do not think that the new curriculum will help British students to ‘catch up with the world’s best.’ Almost 25% felt that it would achieve the aim ‘to some extent’ and 18% were unsure.

Without the same number of face to face teaching hours and much more homework, state schools can never hope to complete with the private sector.
