Are governors using iPads in meetings?

Members of our governor service can read our answer here.

A former governor told us about her experiences of setting up an e-governance system in which governors were provided with electronic devices to use in meetings.

Some governors have said that using these devices could cut down the amount of money spent on printing papers for governing body meetings, although there are also other factors to bear in mind, such as the cost of the devices themselves.  It's also worth noting the increasing use of technology by governors, reflected in the changes to regulations that allow governors to participate and vote through video conferencing.

Is the use of tablets or other devices becoming more common in your school?
