How are schools planning to use the pupil premium plus?

Members of our school leader service can read our answer here.

Looked after children are now eligible for the ‘pupil premium plus’ – a higher rate of funding of £1,900 per pupil. We found that some schools have already published details of how they intend to spend this money, for example on one-to-one interventions or holiday playschemes.

I was also interested to learn that local authorities will have more of a say in how this money is spent. That's unusual as schools now make decisions on almost all of their funding.
