The Key is looking for a sub-editor with digital content experience to join us in delivering up-to-the minute sector intelligence and resources to school leaders and governors. You’ll be helping over 120,000 education leaders take decisive action in their schools.


The role

You will:

  • Edit digital content in line with our brand, tone of voice guidelines and style guide
  • Rigorously check content for accuracy and practical value
  • Uphold our brand values and behaviours, in our content and the way we work together
  • Work collaboratively with our content writers, feeding back on their work and giving constructive challenge and support to help them continually improve
  • Work at pace, prioritising carefully and making excellent decisions to make sure we publish content at the critical point in time for our members, without compromising quality
  • Keep informed about the education sector and the needs of school leaders and governors


The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience of sub-editing digital content
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • The ability to work to high standards and make good decisions under pressure
  • Commitment to uncompromising standards in published content
  • Knowledge or interest in the education sector in England
  • Commitment to continued professional learning


This is a full-time appointment

Location: Central London

Salary: £28,000- £32,000 (depending on experience)
