The Key announces Chris Kenyon as new CEO

Tuesday 12th February, 2019: The Key, a provider of sector intelligence and resources for education leaders, has today announced the appointment of Chris Kenyon as group CEO.

Heading up the senior team across The Key’s group of services, which includes WebBased and newly acquired ScholarPack, Chris will join the team at the end of February.

With a strong background in building global technology businesses, Chris was previously SVP Worldwide Sales & Business Development at open-source software company Canonical. There he drove the commercial strategy of Ubuntu in desktops, servers and cloud computing for 12 years.

Ian Armitage, Chairman at The Key said: “Chris has a highly successful track record of scaling up a business in a very competitive international market. He is committed, passionate and purpose driven. We believe Chris will help us sharpen our strategic thinking as a business and help us to boost the level of support and services we are able to offer to our members.”

Chris succeeds Fergal Roche as CEO, who left The Key in October 2018.
