The Key Group completes acquisition of RM Integris and RM Finance, becoming the leading cloud-based MIS provider in the UK

  • The Key Group is committed to the digital transformation of UK schools, and sees school Management Information Software (MIS) as central to that

  • Together, RM Integris, along with The Key Group’s two other MIS brands, Arbor and ScholarPack, support over 7,000 schools with cloud MIS

  • The Key Group will now offer a finance platform to maintained schools via RM Finance

12th June 2023: The Key Group, owner of leading Management Information System (MIS) brands Arbor Education and ScholarPack, has completed its acquisition of RM Integris, RM Finance and RM Accounts. The Key Group and RM Education Plc originally announced the intended acquisition in November 2022.

Together, RM Integris, Arbor and ScholarPack provide more than 7,000 schools with best-in-class MIS systems, making them the leading provider of modern cloud native MIS systems in the UK.

With RM Finance joining the group, The Key Group can now offer schools modern alternatives to both MIS and Finance, fundamentally transforming the way they work for the better.

Chris Kenyon, CEO, The Key Group said: “Schools deserve better. Better tools that support school improvement, reduce staff workload and enable them to focus on pupils. RM Integris, RM Finance and RM Accounts are a great fit with The Key Group and we look forward to supporting an additional 1,900+ schools.”

The Key Group strongly believes that getting the right MIS in place is critical to changing the way schools work for the better. Through this acquisition, it plans to increase its investment and focus on its MIS Division, offering more choice to schools, local authorities and MATs who want a new way of working across all phases. DfE census data has shown that more schools than ever before are reviewing their MIS options following the pandemic, and contract changes imposed by ESS SIMS.

The Key Group is supporting schools locked into a 3 year contract with SIMS through Arbor’s Pay-for-One Promise, allowing schools to switch to Arbor without paying for their core license until their SIMS contract ends.

Over 2,000 schools chose to switch MIS in 2022 alone, with migration to a cloud-based system taking as little as one day, delivering huge time-savings, better insights for school improvement and continuous new feature releases.

Over the next few weeks, The Key Group intends to rename RM Integris to Integris MIS and RM Accounts to Integris Accounts. Meanwhile, RM Finance will be relaunched as Arbor Finance.
